About this camp

Camp Invention offers a dynamic week-long STEM experience where children entering grades K-6 engage in hands-on activities, design challenges, and collaborative projects. Campers develop essential 21st-century skills such as creative problem-solving, persistence, adaptability, and teamwork. Activities often involve exploring forensic science with robotic capybaras, experimenting with physics to design floating billboard boats, building DIY rockets for space missions, and creating wearable cryptography devices to protect intellectual property. Students are inspired by real-world inventors and learn to apply design thinking processes to bring their ideas to life. The program aims to spark curiosity, build confidence, and foster an "I Can Invent" mindset, encouraging children to explore, experiment, and innovate. Outcomes include improved creativity, STEM interest, and problem-solving skills, with long-term benefits like better school attendance and higher GPAs.
