About this camp

Camp PlayWELL at the Poe Center offers a fully-immersive summer health-science day camp experience for rising 1st-5th graders. Campers engage in a variety of hands-on activities designed to foster an understanding of well-being and healthy habits. Each week focuses on different aspects of healthy living, including nutrition, gardening, physical activity, mental health, body science, and community health. Camp hours are 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with doors opening at 8:30 a.m. A typical day involves hands-on health-science, gardening, and culinary activities, high-energy games and movement in body-systems-themed teaching theaters, and outdoor play at PlayWELL Park.
