About this camp

Play-Well TEKnologies offers engaging LEGO® Engineering & Robotics Camps where children ages 5-14 delve into fundamental engineering principles and robotics through hands-on, project-based learning. Utilizing tens of thousands of LEGO® pieces, students design and build a variety of projects, from arch bridges and skyscrapers to motorized cars and Battletracks. The curriculum, developed by engineers, integrates real-world concepts in physics, architecture, and engineering, enhancing students' math and science skills. Campers develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities by tackling real-world engineering challenges. Instructors guide students through design assignments, encouraging them to explore, test, modify, and rebuild their creations. Projects are rotated seasonally to ensure a fresh experience for both new and returning students, with opportunities for advanced challenges. The program aims to foster a greater appreciation for how things work, while building inquisitiveness, self-reliance, and self-confidence.

What a typical day looks like

Students typically work on two different engineering and architectural projects, starting with an introduction and presentation by the instructor, followed by a design and building assignment using thousands of LEGO® parts.
